The turbine consists of a cast iron body with a large transparent acrylic window, a nozzle and spear arrangement, a bearing pedestal, a rotor assembly of shaft, runner and brake drum all mounted on a sturdy base. The Pelton buckets are made of gunmetal and the spear made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The input to the turbine is controlled by adjusting the spear position with a hand wheel fitted with an indicator arrangement. A rope brake arrangement with a set of dead weights and spring balance is provided for loading the turbine. The transparent perspex sheet side casing is provided for visual observation of flow on the buckets. Water inlet pressure is measured by a pressure gauge.
b) Water to the turbine is provided by a centrifugal monoblock pump set of 15 HP capacity of size. The pump operates on 440Volts, 3 Phase, 50 Hz line.

c) Other standard accessories include a star-delta starter, switch, flow control gate valve, suitable piping.
